Indira Anand, Chair of British Association of Accredited Ayurvedic Practitioners, will share her insights into what you can do to take advantage of mindfulness techniques within demanding careers.

Under the constant rush of our busy lives it is easy to be overcome by stress and lose sight of our long term objectives. Mindfulness allows us to take perspective and space to identify such emotions and intelligently deal with managing stress and becoming aware of ways to focus on being more positive, energetic and productive.

Having successfully made the journey from a stellar corporate career to an entrepreneur focussed on training individuals on mindfulness, Dr Indira Anand, Chair of British Association of Accredited Ayurvedic Practitionerswill share her insights into what you can do to take advantage of mindfulness techniques within demanding careers. The main themes covered will be:

  • What is mindfulness, its benefits and how you can apply it to a corporate career
  • Tips and tricks to enhance energy, happiness, resilience and the application of Mindfulness in personal and professional goal setting
  • Why are corporates focussing on mindfulness and how emotionally aware employees can be more successful workers

 

Dr Indira Anand spent most of her student life in Delhi. She graduated with a B.A. (Hons) and M.A. in Economics from Delhi University and went on to various parts of European Government of Netherlands and Rockefeller Foundation fellowships for further studies towards a Ph.D in Economic History. She worked in the world of Finance in the UK, throughout her professional career, retiring as a Director of Merrill Lynch. Taking a sabbatical from Merrill Lynch in 1995, she trained as a Yoga teacher and after her early retirement, she spent 5 years, including acquiring clinical training in some South Indian Ayurvedic hospitals, to qualify as an Ayurvedic Practitioner. Indira practises Ayurvedic Medicine, teaches Yoga, runs Yoga and Ayurveda workshops, a registered Charity in the UK and a Welfare Centre in India. She has held many honorary executive positions in some professional and cultural organisations. In addition to English and 3 Indian languages, she has the working knowledge of Dutch, French, Danish and Japanese.

Indira has published six books and several papers on a variety of subjects - Economic History, Finance, Yoga, Ayurveda, Hindi poetry, Self-Management, Time-Management, Hinduism and personal paranormal experiences. She has also produced several CDs on subjects related to Yoga and Meditation. She is the chair of British Association of Ayurvedic Practitioners, Sahara means Support and SmS India Foundation.
