We are delighted to welcome Marian Glen as our speaker for the first of our spotlight suppers for 2017.
Marian Glen started her career as a trainee at Dundas & Wilson which look at company law, corporate finance, taxation and litigation; she then qualified as a solicitor and joined one of the UK’s “magic circle” firms, Linklaters and specialised in corporate finance transactions such as M&A, join ventures and debt/equity fundraisings. Marian then moved on to be a Partner in mainstream corporate finance working in a wide variety of sectors for Shepherd and Wedderburn where she was a board member contributing to strategy on firm’s main board. Marian joined Aegon UK as a member of the Executive Committee and General Counsel where she provided commercial advice to the Executive and the Board.
Currently she holds a Non-Executive Portfolio with the following: Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc (NED and Member of the Audit Committee), Financial Services Compensation Scheme (NED and member of the Audit and Remuneration Committee), Shires Income PLC (NED and Member of the Audit Committee) and the Water Industry Commission for Scotland (Member of the Audit and Risk Committee).
This short talk by Marian Glen on her life journey will be followed by a 2 course dinner and a glass of wine (included as part of the £10 cost for event), there will also be a discussion over dinner and the opportunity to ask Marian questions.

Parking:
There is 24 hour parking at the St. James Centre, The OMNI Centre at greenside. There is also on Street parking costing £2.60 an hour which finishes at 6.30pm on Waterloo Place and Regent Road.
