Lucy O’Carroll is Aberdeen Asset Management’s Chief Economist. Lucy’s team is responsible for top-down research in macroeconomics, generating investment insights for Aberdeen and its clients. Lucy joined Aberdeen in 2014 as part of its acquisition of Scottish Widows Investment Partnership. Prior to this, Lucy was a Senior Economist at Lloyds Banking Group, responsible for forecasts, analysis and strategic advice to the wholesale bank. She has also held senior roles at RBS and the Bank of England, where she worked for the Monetary Policy Committee. Lucy has a PhD from the University of Manchester, where she lectured in the School of Economics

This event will be hosted by Catherine BurnetHead of KPMG’s Scottish Practice. Catherine is head of KPMG’s financial services team in Scotland and has a career spanning more than 20 years with the Big Four accountancy firms. The event will include an update on the current Scottish economy together with insights on the potential impact of political change arising from Brexit. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and take key insights back to your own firms.
