An interview with ……..Alison McGregor – CEO HSBC Scotland

As CEO Scotland, Alison is the senior leader responsible for the HSBC Group in Scotland, with over 3,800 employees across a range of businesses. In addition to responsibility for people, customers and shareholders she has primary responsibility for maintaining the Group’s relationship with key external stakeholders and senior leaders with an interest and responsibility for supporting the growth of our economy. Alison is a Non-Executive Director of The Beatson Cancer Charity, a Board member of Scottish Enterprise and the Scottish Apprenticeship Advisory Board and Chair of CBI Scotland.

We will include the opportunity for networking with fellow members of WIBF over canapes, following the interview with Alison.

Details for arrival:

· Please arrive at the main reception which is located at the front of the Building (not where the buses stop – that is East Reception) – if you require any assistance, please let us know in advance.

· Please arrive in plenty of time for the event as everyone will need to be signed in. We’ll have networking, drinks and canapés from 5.30pm with the session beginning at 6pm.

· For those who have a pre booked car space – please follow the signs to the Visitors car parking which is directly opposite the front of the building in front of the water feature. You can only park onsite if you’ve pre booked a space.

· Please note that after the event the only public transport into town/airport from Gogarburn will be the tram (unless you leave early for the Number 35, timetable below).

Bus

The 35 Lothian bus arrives at Gogarburn. https://lothianbuses.co.uk/timetables-and-maps/timetables/35 - the last bus scheduled to depart is 19:39 from Gogarburn.

Tram

The tram runs directly from the airport to St Andrew Square, stopping at Gogarburn and the Gyle, and takes 35 minutes when travelling into town. The location of the tram stop at the airport is clearly sign posted and is a short walk from the terminal. Rail

 

By rail Edinburgh Park, Edinburgh Gateway or South Gyle stations are approximately two miles from Gogarburn. However there’s no bus link back to the Station post event so you’d need to book a taxi.
