Ask The Experts – The Current Recruitment Environment
After a very successful session in October, WIBF is delighted to welcome back two experts from Change Recruitment for a second session to talk about the current employment environment and answer your questions.
The COVID-19 pandemic has introduced uncertainty into all aspects of our lives, and the recruitment market is no exception. With announcements of mass redundancies, the winding-up of the furlough scheme and the announcement of new job protection plans, alongside the tightening of social and business restrictions, many in the finance industry are worried about their current or future job prospects.
Mark and Scott from Change Recruitment will open the session by sharing some of their insights on the current recruitment environment from the industry, employers and employees. The majority of the session will then be an open forum for attendees to ask Mark and Scott any questions on matters such as risk of redundancy; reapplying for your own role; concerns about promotion; or any other recruitment issues.

Scott Taylor joined Change in 2007 and currently manages our Accountancy & Finance division for appointments across the UK on both a permanent and interim basis. Scott joined Change after graduating in Management and HR at Heriot Watt to embark on his recruitment career which has seen him build his network across the UK with a particular focus on the Financial Services sector. Through his outstanding ability to both deliver and lead, Scott has been recognised by Change in his promotions from consultant through to his current role as Associate Director.
Mark McFall has 25 years’ experience within the recruitment industry primarily in senior leadership roles within both Nasdaq and AIM listed organisations covering a variety of sectors and disciplines. Mark joined Change in 2012 as Managing Director implementing a strategy to improve the business mix, improve productivity and profitability. Culminating in overseeing the successful sale of Change and subsequent integration into the new Taranata Group.
