About this event

This event is for women - regardless of the stage of their career - who struggle to balance work and personal responsibilities and who are looking for better ways to manage work and home life, navigate challenging situations and finding a healthier and happier balance. The intention of the event is to come along and hear from Joy on some of her additional responsibilities and how she managed these and network with likeminded peers.

Given the transition to home working, work life balance is more important than ever for colleagues and ensuring we separate work and home life. Joy will touch on additional responsibilities she managed throughout her working life to date and how these impacted her career. We need to ‘be bold and be brave’ and use allies and our colleagues to support us through difficult situations and times in our life. Joy will touch on the importance of allies and trustworthy peers and how these individuals helped her in her career.

We intend to raise awareness of carers within the workplace and ensure working carers and other underrepresented groups are supported and heard. It is important we learn how we can support colleagues who are in similar situations to Joy. Some colleagues may not voice the responsibilities and challenges that affect them so it is important we know how to offer support to others.

Come along to be inspired, learn how to be bold and brave and learn how to offer support to colleagues who are managing work with other responsibilities. This event intends to show you how to prioritise different facets of your life at different times.

This session will be interactive with our speaker, allowing space for questions and answers.
