About this event

The UK’s first female Chancellor has delivered her Budget, but is it truly a Budget for women? Join our thought-provoking WIBF Awards Alumni Roundtable to unpack what the latest fiscal decisions mean for women in the workplace, in public services, and across society. Using the article “A woman Chancellor, but not a budget for women” as our starting point, we will explore the real gender implications of national economic policy and why gender-aware budgeting matters more than ever.

This interactive session brings together mid to senior-level professionals across financial services to reflect, debate and share insights on topics ranging from public service funding and childcare infrastructure to workplace progression, pay, part-time work, and structural inequalities. You will take part in guided discussion, practical exercises and a collaborative 'Budget Pitch' activity to spark actionable ideas you can bring back to your organisation.

Whether you work in strategy, finance, policy, DEI, HR or people management, this session will deepen your understanding of how fiscal choices shape women’s lives and careers, and what leaders can do to drive progress even when national policy falls short.
