Carole Berndt is a truly global financial services leader, with a banking career spanning Sydney, Hong Kong, New York and London
With over 20 years, as a senior leader and business head in some of the world’s leading financial organisations, Carole now works independently, mentoring and advising innovative individuals and organisations, specifically in the field of transition skills and the future of work.
Starting her banking career with Citi in Hong Kong, she went on to lead the Client Delivery function globally at Citigroup in NY, the regional EMEA transaction banking business at BoAML and was global head of Transaction Banking at RBS in London. During this time she was closely involved in managing these complex businesses through the challenges of the Asian Crisis, GFC and the EuroZone crisis.
Carole is a specialist in transaction banking, encompassing all aspects of cash management, payments infrastructure, digital disruption and trade. In her executive leadership roles at BoAML and RBS, she was responsible for the end to end management of the transaction banking business, providing core cash management, trade and liquidity to multinational corporations, and financial institutions. As part of the executive leadership team, she has been instrumental in architecting and leading the strategic business plans, for institutional businesses in Asia, the Americas and Europe.
Renowned for her innovative approach to business, it is her ability to attract, develop and retain diverse talent that has been the hallmark of her career and foundation of her success.
