Who We Are

Who we are

Since 1980, Women in Banking & Finance (WIBF) has been run as a not-for-profit, volunteer-led organisation to promote diversity and gender equality in financial services in the UK. Whether you work for accountancy firms, banks, brokers, insurers, investment houses, finance companies, fintech providers, law practices, lenders or wealth managers, WIBF offers events of interest and support to help you progress your career and achieve your goals.

At the forefront of debates, lobbying and policy making, WIBF works to establish practical solutions for issues to help the financial services sector realise the benefits that diversity and inclusion bring. In partnering with WIBF, our institutional members demonstrate they want action to accelerate change.

Our locations

With branches in London, Belfast, Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Glasgow, Norwich and Manchester, we are staffed primarily by volunteers and volunteer-led by executive and management boards. With two-thirds working outside of London, we think it's important that we enable best practices in diversity and inclusion to be shared across the UK financial services sector, while allowing our members to achieve their ambitions through out networking events, development programmes and leadership opportunities.
