Senior Manager for Climate Policy and Strategy, Macquarie

Raphaëlle is Senior Manager for Climate Policy and Strategy. She leads on Macquarie Group’s strategy for COP26 and is helping implement net zero policies in GIG. She also delivers climate finance advisory services – supporting governments and corporates to work with the financial sector to deliver sustainable infrastructure and to design green finance solutions. She recently advised the Government of Mongolia and Green Climate Fund on the design and set-up of a new national green bank, and Indonesia on creating a strategy for financing waste management infrastructure. Raphaëlle is a green finance advisor to the COP26 Presidency on their finance campaign.

Raphaëlle started her career in the UK Government, working in several policy and strategy roles in energy and climate change. In 2017 she set up and managed the first green finance policy team in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, which launched the Green Finance Taskforce and delivered the Green Finance Institute. She holds a BA in Geography from the University of Oxford and an MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology.
