Rachel advises traditional, hedge fund managers, pension funds and sovereign wealth funds on corporate/partnership, product and operational tax issues from both an investment and compliance perspective. She also leads the Sovereign Wealth Fund Practice in the UK and is part of the KPMG’s global Sovereign and Pension Fund Network. Prior to joining KPMG Rachel was Head of Tax at M&G for over 10 years where she was responsible for providing pro-active tax advice to all parts of M&G’s business particularly focusing on product development, risk and operational tax matters. Rachel was closely involved with setting up M&G’s offshore property, hedge and leverage loan funds..
Rachel leads KPMG’s relationship with BlackRock and Macquarie.
Rachel is a former member of the Investment Management Association’s Tax Committee and a founder member of the Association of Real Estate Funds’ Tax Committee. She currently sits on TheCityUK’s Tax Committee and until recently was a Commissioner examining the recent Government Initiative on Dormant Assets.
Rachel has more than 25 years experience in the Fund Management industry. Prior to joining M&G in 1998, she spent 10 years with another “Big 4” firm including a two year secondment to the USA. Rachel is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
