A finalist for the UK Tech Leaders Awards of 2018 and winner of the Fintech Breakthrough Awards for Best Financial Research and Data Company, Emma’s company Alpha Exchange was one of ten global companies selected and backed by Techstars NYC Accelerator and VC programme in 2016.

A finalist for the UK Tech Leaders Awards of 2018 and winner of the Fintech Breakthrough Awards for Best Financial Research and Data Company, Emma’s company Alpha Exchange was one of ten global companies selected and backed by Techstars NYC Accelerator and VC programme in 2016.

Emma was the CEO and co-founder of Alpha Exchange and successfully sold the company to Visible Alpha in November 2017, a comprehensive MiFID II solution for investment research.

In addition to launching Alpha Exchange, Margetts started The Business Learning Network, the first women’s accelerator for female entrepreneurs in the townships of South Africa, in 2008; advises NGOs and startups across Africa; and is on the steering committee for Harambe Catalyst Fund, an African venture fund.
