
Claire Calmejane is one of the leading influencing figures in Financial Technology and one of the few senior women in the Fintech 40 Europe by WSJ. The French-born tech guru was hired in 2012 by Lloyds Banking Group to shake-up the old ways of doing business, as put by the Evening Standard. Claire enjoys working on projects that make a difference and has received a number of industry accolades for her work. Claire’s has a unique perspective on how technology will impact the business model of financial services combined with a track record of delivery and execution having set-up the LBG Innovation Labs and worked with HR to set-up the Digital Academy to support the 75 000 colleagues become digital leaders. In her words, her best achievement is her team ‘I am a talent spotter and always make sure I recruit a person better at one skill than me’. She is a lecturer on Fintech and Digital Transformation at MIT, Oxford, UCL and HEC. Before joining the bank, she worked for Capgemini Consulting and has served as a visiting scientist at the American university MIT on how large organisations digitise.
