IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT BY WIBF’S MANAGEMENT EXECUTIVE
Christine Lawrence is stepping down as President of WIBF on 13th June 2011. Christine has led WIBF for the past four years and through some of the most challenging ones for our sector. Christine has worked tirelessly to forge new relationships with corporate sponsors and to reinforce existing ones, has championed changes to our brand and website, and has achieved significant growth in our membership and reach, as well as remaining focused on delivering what our members are seeking. The entire WIBF management executive team express their gratitude for Christine’s inspired leadership.
Sylvana Caloni, who is well known to many of our members from her leadership of WIBF’s Personal Excellence programme will be taking over as President of WIBF on 13th June. Sylvana looks forward to taking on the excitement and challenge of her new role and will be inviting members to take an active part in her key initiative and thought leadership to make WIBF the premier network in the financial services industry.

In our series of ‘Women on Boards’, we are delighted to have Professor Roger Steare and Kathryn Riley present on Values and Ethics - Responsible Leadership and the importance of women on Boards. The event will look at what is ethics, the business case driving it and building a culture of integrity. They will share data that strongly indicates why more women should be on Boards.
The evening will provide women with knowledge and insight that will hopefully reinforce the importance and critical value that women bring to Boards.

Vivian Slattery from Monetary Solutions, and chair of the Woman Adviser and Broker Group will join us to give us some insight into the financial matters we shouldn’t be ignoring in these uncertain financial times and some advice on how to go about it.
Vivian has been involved in Financial Planning for nearly 20 years. She has the FPC, GIO and the MAQ qualifications. She prides herself on treating clients honestly and professionally, at the same time ensuring clients have a full understanding of the subject matter, whilst also maintaining the personal touch. She has been running her company “Monetary Solutions” for 7 years with a niche focus on advising people who prefer a female adviser. She is also a mother of three daughters.

Wine Tasting by the Millenium Bridge!
David Green and the staff at the Durius Café will provide WIBF with a tutored tasting through some fine Spanish wines, complemented by Spanish nibbles sourced from the café’s own farm in Salamanca. We will be networking while sampling our way through 8 wines including red, white and rose wines – commencing with a glass of bubbles on arrival.
