We know WIBF is the leading professional networking organisation in the finance industry because you tell us so and the industry recognises this too! For those who are already members, I hope you are taking advantage of all the benefits of being a member WIBF as it provides the opportunity to network beyond boundaries via every event such as during our personal and professional development workshops, networking evenings and annual events.

As a member of WIBF, you get the opportunity to meet women from different areas of finance where you are able to build relationships based on mutual understanding and interests. One such example is The Awards for Achievement Luncheon, which is the highlight of our networking calendar. This popular and ever growing event creates a showcase for the best networking opportunities between our members, guests and their clients.

Each year, we balance the events held in order to encompass all areas that may be of interest to women in our industry. We appreciate that networking does not only take place via conventional methods such as training events but at social events. We organise dinner parties, quarterly drop-in cocktail evenings, theatre, galleries and museums visits, wine tasting, flower shows and much more. These evenings are relaxed and entertaining so our members and their guests meet to enjoy the welcoming atmosphere WIBF has gained a reputation for. This is also an ideal opportunity for members to introduce friends and colleagues to the Group.

WIBF has gone national so if ever you are in Edinburgh, Dublin or Bristol and want to attend an event and meet with other members, we will help you get connected. We have also created alliances with other international women’s organisations to encourage learning and shared experiences for our members. One such alliance is TIAW (The International Association of Women) www.tiaw.org so our members can explore new relationships and opportunities.

Business cards are not what WIBF are about – we place our emphasis on building lasting relationships. We ask, therefore, that all our members make it to at least two events in a year. This provides the opportunity for us to collect feedback on events and work towards improvement on programmes we offer.

To qualified for membership of WIBF, an applicant must be employed in a clearly defined financial position or be employed by a financial services firm.
