Women are securing more senior roles in financial services. They are succeeding at promoting their agenda for equal opportunities, status and remuneration. Does this gain for women equal a loss for men? Has the Diversity agenda marginalised men? Men are expected to support Diversity Initiatives because they are good for business. Yet few companies point out how they are good for men, personally and professionally. While some men willingly embrace gender initiatives, other men reject or resent them. Some men seek equality for themselves. Others are ambivalent or undecided.
What skill set do you bring to your role? Are you confident in promoting it? If you need a little help in identifying transferrable skills, then come along to this session and learn more. Women have traditionally understated the value of their skill set, so tend to be less confident when self-promoting.

With thanks to all our members and guests who registered interest for this panel discussion, we regret that this event has been postponed until 2013 when we look forward to engaging senior women from diverse backgrounds to hear from each of them around how they manage their flexibility.
There is an increasing body of research showing that gender diversity pays off and that there is a positive correlation between women in leadership and business performance. Yet women continue to be under-represented in senior positions and in the boardrooms despite the fact that they make up nearly half of the workforce and more than half of new university graduates in the UK.
